The Olivia Act - Brianne and her wonderful family

A while back some photographer friends of mine and I gave away a free photo shoot with digital files included, a one hour family portrait session, in honor of the tragic shooting at an elementary school in Connecticut last December.  Two weeks ago we were able to meet with the family that I chose to photograph based on the stories and nominations submitted to me and we had a great time making some pictures with her wonderful family.  Below are my favorites from the session and this was one of the most fun shoots that we have had.  Thank you Brianne for letting us serve your family and help create memories for you all.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



Houston Family Shoot

We had so much fun taking pictures for our friend Sarah and her family!  They suggested a great location in Lehi with lots of textures and variety in a small area so it was great to have such contrasting locations all in one place :)  The family poses were fun but the individuals after were definitely my favorite part.  Below are our favorite pictures from this fun shoot.  Make sure to comment and let us know what you think!

Pumpkin Walk 2013

Katrina and I went to the pumpkin walk in Logan tonight and considering that I have never been to one before, I thought it was really cool.  It is awesome to see the creativity of every day people and families, especially when you can see that kids were involved too.

I have to put in a plug for the Handheld Twilight mode on my Sony DSLR A77 - thought I had a monopod with me, I never had to use it because I could shoot handheld with no flash for all of these shots.  The camera takes up to 6 shots in 1 second and combines then in camera and removes noise and blur so you can shoot at night with on camera support and get great images!
